Your Excellency President Lee Jae Myung and Distinguished Leaders of the Korean Government, of the Government of the Republic of Korea.
It is indeed an honor for me to be here and to meet you directly. I apologize for not having been able to carry out the state visit, but I hope we can do it as soon as possible. Please, Minister of Foreign Affairs, try to organize as soon as possible.
I would like to congratulate you on your leadership of APEC. This is a very excellent, organized event, very efficient, and always punctual, always on time to the minute.
Also, I’d like to thank you for the beautiful gala dinner last night. It was very interesting, and I think Korea is going to conquer the world with your music and your dancing. All young Indonesians, they all are crazy about K-Pop. So, once again, thank you very much.
Our relationship has been very good. Korea is a very important partner for us in economic cooperation. And I think, on the whole, engagement between our governments is also very good. I met, I think, maybe 20, 25 leaders of Korean industry and business when they visited Indonesia. We had a very long discussion, and we are very open for continued Korean participation in our economy. We hope that we can continue this cooperation.
In the field of defense, we thank you also. We have continued this cooperation. And I think, we will continue to discuss the follow up of the KF-21 Projects. So, I think, negotiations are continuing.
And of course, negotiations depend always on the economics, on the price and the financing schemes. So, I think our ministers will continue discussing with your team, and our technical people will also continue with this, and also because of this sensitive quality.
